Dapo Olajuwon’s EPL prediction: Game Week 25

Man Utd vs Southampton- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
There are serious problems at Man Utd and their problems caught up with them against Burnley. Their goals are often binary (0 & 1) recently and then there is Southampton that looks like they’ve got goals in them with spotlights, Armando Broja and James Ward-Prowse. Their comeback against Tottenham was inspiring which is going to help them build more confidence. Should Man Utd’s problem catch up with them here again, they’re going to have their defeat. FT: MNU 1-1 SOU (CORRECT SCORE)

Brentford vs Crystal Palace- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-2)
Crystal Palace have been playing well without a win in 2022 yet. I don’t know when their good performance will yield the expected result which makes it hard to back them for victory now. Nevertheless, Patrick Vieira is still doing a good job. Brentford are on a poor run having lost their last 5 games. I do not worry about them getting relegated and their coach isn’t scrutinized by the board yet. Sooner or later, their poor run will end and I think getting something here will be a clue if they are going to flip their current poor run in the meantime. FT: BRE 0-0 CRY (WRONG OUTCOME)

Everton vs Leeds Utd- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
Everton disappointed me last time out but I realized that the problem they’ve got at the back is still very much there and they can be run at. Leeds Utd will fancy this and be determined to get something at Goodison Park. Leeds Utd are finally getting back to their old identity and posing threats now. I desire a win for Everton because they will be playing in front of their fans but reality has to be faced. FT: EVE 3-0 LEE (CORRECT OUTCOME)

Watford vs Brighton- Under 3.5 (Tip: 1-1)
Roy Hodgson has been able to prevent Watford from conceding many goals but has yet to win since he took charge of the Hornets. So I’m not expecting many goals here because they are facing Brighton, the draw specialist, that do not score many either. But if Watford are too desperate to win this game, they might end up losing to Brighton. So I will expect them to keep it tight at the back and remain disciplined throughout as we’re going to enjoy Brighton play their beautiful football. FT: WAT 0-2 BRI (CORRECT OUTCOME)

Norwich vs Man City- 2 (Tip: 0-3)
Norwich have surprised me in their last 3 league games and have given themselves hope to stay up. I will call it “The Dean Smith Effect” but this is the most difficult task for them at the moment. Man City are enjoying a good run and overcoming every obstacle at the moment. The difference in quality alone is enough to make a verdict on this game. A win for City is all I see. FT: NOR 0-4 MNC (CORRECT OUTCOME)

Burnley vs Liverpool- 2 (Tip: 0-2)
Burnley are sitting at the bottom of the table but I know they usually give Liverpool a good game, especially at Turf Moor. No matter how hard it is going to be, I believe Liverpool will find a way to beat the Clarets and minimize the gap between them and the league leader, Man City. FT: BUR 0-1 LIV (CORRECT OUTCOME)

Newcastle vs Aston Villa- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
Newcastle surprised me with a win over Everton in the midweek and the way they played shows they’ve improved. Aston Villa have also improved especially with Coutinho bossing the midfield since he joined in January. I’m expecting an end-to-end performance here and I feel they will be goals. This is difficult to predict which is why I’ll be sitting on the fence and enjoying the moments. FT: NEW 1-0 ASV (WRONG OUTCOME)

Tottenham vs Wolves- Under 3.5 (Tip: 1-0)
Antonio Conte would be disappointed as I was and annoyed by the way they lost to Southampton last time out. They will be eager to get back to winning ways here after having a poor run lately. Wolves are also not having a good time and they don’t score many goals. Wolves will be defensive while Spurs will have to find a way through and score which makes me think this will be a low scoring affair. FT: TOT 0-2 WOL (CORRECT OUTCOME)

Leicester vs West Ham- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-2)
Leicester have been dealing with injuries this season causing their setback. Nevertheless, they’ve been disappointing in games they are expected to win. West Ham are a handful at the moment and I think they can be too much for the Foxes to handle. With Kurt Zouma coming back into the team, I feel the defense would be tightened up and I don’t think they should be affected by other players asking for wage increment. FT: LEI 22 WHU (CORRECT OUTCOME)
