Dapo Olajuwon’s EPL prediction: Game Week 31

Liverpool vs Watford- 1 (Tip: 3-0)
Liverpool are on an excellent run having won 9 successive games. With the way the title race has been blown open, they are so focused on winning games rather than entertaining in any form. Roy Hodgson will set up his team to be difficult to beat and I won’t be surprised if the Hornets are going to be very defensive when they play. So it will be left to the Reds to find a way through and get some good or ugly goals to keep the momentum going knowing fully well that they could easily go top of the table if Man City drop any point. FT: LIV 2-0 WAT

Brighton vs Norwich- 1X (Tip: 2-0)
Both teams are on a bad run having lost their last 6 games. Norwich looked like they were rejuvenated when Dean Smith took charge in January but now they look like all their firewood got burnt and we are already looking at them playing in the Championship next season unless they pull out a serious upset.
Brighton, at home, play beautiful football which I think should pay off here. So I’m tipping them to create chances and convert one or two and win this. FT: BRI 0-0 NOR

Burnley vs Man City- 2 (Tip: 0-2)
Burnley’s Turf Moor is difficult ground for a title racer to play, especially in delicate times like this. So I have a feeling that this is going to be a déjà vu of what happened 3 years ago on the same ground and under the same condition. Man City at the moment, under Pep Guardiola, will not care whose home they are playing but just to go there and win. They have been there, they’ve survived it, and I think they will do it again. FT: BUR 0-2 MCI

Chelsea vs Brentford- 1 (Tip: 2-0)
Despite all the crisis happening at Chelsea, I am glad they are still cruising on and getting results. Brentford having Christian Eriksen in the team has been a huge addition to them and their striker, Ivan Toney is scoring goals again. They lost to Leicester before the international break and I think they will resume the break with another defeat because it is Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. FT: CHE 1-4 BRE

Leeds Utd vs Southampton- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
Another injury blow for Leeds Utd as Patrick Bamford returns to injury immediately after recovering but I think they have already found a way around that by now. Their 3-2 victory against Wolves last time out was mind-blowing for me – I wasn’t expecting it to be candid. I think they will be more adventurous here and will get in the face of the Saints.
Southampton have flipped their form from impressive to poor and I am beginning to wonder when they will get out of their mess. I think they might start to get out of it if they start with a draw here. I’m expecting a very good game here – one to look out for. FT: LEE 1-1 SOU

Wolves vs Aston Villa- Under 3.5 (Tip: 1-1)
I am going for a low-scoring affair here, no doubt. Usually, both of them do not concede many goals and they’ll both be very careful and desperate to win this one – especially Wolves with the way they lost to Leeds last time out. I rate them equally and as a perfect match for each other in terms of quality. So I won’t be surprised if we can’t get a winner here or if we get a goalless draw. FT: WOL 2-1 ASV

Man Utd vs Leicester- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
I think Man Utd should be very confident after they defeated Tottenham last time out. Although it wasn’t a collective brilliance, the result is for the team. It is not all the time that individual brilliance will get into play but that victory means a lot to the team and I think they might get to flex muscles on the Foxes.
Leicester have not been consistent this season and they’ve been dealing with injury blows. One in particular, at the moment, is that of their DM, Wilfred Ndidi which makes it hard for me to make a case for them. Nevertheless, I still don’t trust Man United which is why I’m sitting on the fence. FT: MNU 1-1 LEI

West Ham vs Everton- 1X (Tip: 2-1)
West Ham lost to Tottenham last time out right after their Europa League game against Sevilla which was logical enough. They will be back refreshed here against one of the worse teams in the EPL, if not the team with the worst away record.
Everton are a team that is prone to error and the EPL is an unforgiving league which is why they appear so bad. I can’t make a case for them because West Ham are a compact and resilient team; even when they don’t play well. FT: WHU 2-1 EVE

Tottenham vs Newcastle- 1X (Tip: 2-1)
Newcastle have lost their last 2 games but I think they are still safe. I hope they’re not thinking they are safe like me so that they can be gingered to win more games and show their manager how reliable and good they can be in the long run. Of course, they have not made enough signings and no matter how good they are now, I will be expecting them to make more signings ahead of next season.
Tottenham should win this in my opinion but I don’t think they will keep a clean sheet because I’ve been surprised with some disappointing performances by Spurs this season. That’s why I can’t even say anything about them making the top 4. FT: TOT 5-1 NEW

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal- 2X (Tip: 1-2)
I used to be bothered by Arsenal playing away from home but they seem to have found a way around it and they are going to need more of it to get something here at Selhurst Park because Crystal Palace are a solid team under Patrick Vieira. They are well modified, interlocked, and smart when switching to different phases during the game creating a lot of space for themselves to attack. I have a feeling that it will be a promising game and a very close one. FT: CRY 3-0 ARS
