Dapo Olajuwon’s EPL prediction: Game Week 36B

Aston Villa vs Liverpool- 2 (Tip: 0-2)
Steven Gerrard will be welcoming his old club at the Villa Park and I’m sure he’s going to put away his feelings and try his possible best to get something out of this game. Aston Villa have just gotten 2 consecutive wins after a rough path since the Easter period. I think this should improve their morale and mentality going into this game although I’m not expecting them to get a result here. Liverpool are going into this game like a wounded lion after they dropped points against Tottenham last time out, meaning that they’ve slipped off the title race but they’ve not been completely ruled out of the race. I am sure they are going to get something out of this game, if not a win. FT: ASV 1-2 LIV

Leeds Utd vs Chelsea- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
I am still surprised that Chelsea gave away a 2 goal lead against Wolves and got a draw instead of a win. I asked myself “has it gotten this worse?” Chelsea were known for their defensive prowess under Thomas Tuchel but it isn’t the case anymore while Leeds, on the other hand, have been committing errors that have caused them to be in the relegation battle. Both Leeds Utd and Chelsea are in a mess right now and it is hard to back a side here. I will rather bank on goals and sit on the fence. FT: LEE 0-3 CHE

Leicester vs Norwich- 1X (Tip: 2-1)
Leicester are so unpredictable at the moment and they have been on a poor run. This is a perfect chance and game to raise their heads back up again. I’ll be surprised if the Foxes fail to win here even though I’m only one leg in for them. You might be wondering what Norwich still have to play for. Although the Canaries have been relegated, they won’t just sit back and get beaten anyhow. At least, they will want to put a smile on their fan’s faces for the remaining time they’ve got to spend in the top division. FT: LEI 3-0 NOR

Watford vs Everton- 2X (Tip: 0-1)
Watford are another team that has been officially relegated. Do the Hornets have something to play for? I don’t know but I know Everton do have something to play for. The Toffees are fighting for their life like a patient in a coma. After getting another win last time out, I think they are starting to believe in themselves. I think they will get something out of this game too. Maybe it’s their time to shine. FT: WAT 0-0 EVE

Wolves vs Man City- 2 (Tip: 0-2)
Wolves got a good draw against Chelsea last time out and it felt more like a win. They showed resilience but I don’t think they’ll get a similar outcome or anything here. First, I think they will be short of energy because that performance came with a great amount of energy, and second, Man City are boiling at the moment for the only trophy they can get their hands on. With Liverpool dropping points last time out, I think the Cityzens will try as much as possible to maintain the breathing space and score many more goals to be at an advantage. FT: WOL 1-5 MCI

Tottenham vs Arsenal- over 1.5 (Tip: 1-1)
The long-awaited London derby is finally here and it is going to be an interesting one to watch. Both teams are on good runs but I’m more confident in Tottenham because they’re playing at home and their performance against Liverpool last time out. They were hard to break. Arsenal, on the road, are not as good as they used to be at home and their last performance against Leeds wasn’t convincing enough for me – they had to hold on till full time to secure the victory. They’re both competing for the top 4 like two horsemen race and also the feeling of it being a derby will set-in in their performance. So I will be sitting on the fence here and anticipate an end-to-end game. FT: TOT 3-0 ARS
