π΅ CHELSEA VS FULHAM βͺ
Fulham have lost by one goal to nil in two consecutive Premier League games now against Newcastle and Tottenham respectively. They will be eager to get something out of this game to stop the losing streak but I am having doubts here. Chelsea seem to have overhauled the team by signing a lot of players. They have sold Jorginho to Arsenal who might probably win the league with Arsenal if the Gunners maintain their great momentum till the end of the season. With all these signings, much will be expected from Chelsea but we all know that we can’t be backing the Blues with all minds because it might take them some time to synchronize as a team.

π΅ EVERTON VS ARSENAL π΄
Everton have just hired former Burnley manager, Sean Dyche after parting ways with young and promising Frank Lampard who I believe is going to get another job soon. I know Sean Dyche is good at keeping a team from relegation; just like he did for years at Burnley. Maybe that’s why they got him; a short-term solution to keep them in the Premier League. He will be in charge of his first Premier League game at Everton facing Arsenal which I don’t think is a good time to face the Gunners. Although Thomas Partey is injured which is why Mikel Arteta bought 31-year-old Jorginho from Chelsea, I will be surprised if Sean Dyche gets something out of this game because I believe he has not gotten enough time to settle with his players.

π¦ ASTON VILLA VS LEICESTER π¦
Aston Villaβs transfer activity was discrete but I know there’s been a few addition and subtraction. This won’t change the way they play or their performance as Unai Emery already has a working formula at the club which is helping them to get results. Leicester, on the other hand, have made a few signings in the January transfer window. I read about them signing some youngsters but I am yet to see what addition they can bring to the team. If Leicester already have a working formula, I’d say maybe the new players can fit themselves in and contribute their quota but they will have to be integrated gradually over time. As it stands, I do not see any positive outcome from the Foxes in this clash but I won’t still rule them out completely.

π BRENTFORD VS SOUTHAMPTON β
Southampton, in their last five (5) games, have lost four (4) games and won one (1) game. Not to say much, but I don’t think they’ll get something out of this game. No disrespect to Nathan Jones, he’s doing his best and he’s a good manager but I feel there is not enough quality in his team or probably not giving the Saints proper ginger. Brentford have been unbeaten in the last eight (8) games having won four (4) and drawn four (4) games. They will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run here which is why I will be backing them to win or draw.

π¦ BRIGHTON VS BOURNEMOUTH π
Bournemouth have been on a poor run until they got a draw against Nott. Forest last time out. Their performance was not impressive in my opinion and I don’t think they will build up on it from here because Brighton are in good form at the moment and are gaining more momentum. A player to look out for is Karou Mitoma whom the commentator mentioned last time out against Liverpool that he attended the University of Dribbling. He caused lots of havoc against the Reds and finally got the winning goal in the FA Cup clash. I think they will continue from where they left off here.

πΉ MAN UTD VS CRYSTAL PALACE π¦
Crystal Palace showed defensive prowess against Newcastle last time out. They maintained discipline, did well to keep the Magpies out, and ended in a goalless draw. But you can’t keep all teams out like that and settle for a draw. This is Man Utd who are good at counterattacks and I think they find a way through. Man Utd have just lost against Arsenal in the Premier League last time out after a series of wins and an unbeaten run. It is understood that they will be eager to get back to winning ways and continue to contend for the league title. It might be difficult but I believe they will grind out the result.

πΊ WOLVES VS LIVERPOOL π΄
These are two inconsistent teams but with quality differences. Wolves can create a few chances but converting them into goals is a problem – they have a poor final third. Since Game Week 18, they have been the king of binary (0 & 1) in terms of the goal – it is either they score one goal or no goal. You can’t win a game if you can’t score many goals because the Premier League is unforgiving – one mistake and you are punished. Liverpool, on the other hand, have midfield problems. They find it difficult to win midfield battles thereby making their defense vulnerable to attacks also, they can’t form a constructive play and stream of passes to create sufficient chances which can help them find the back of the net according to what I watched them play against Brighton in the FA Cup. Maybe there are other problems because a couple of days ago, I read a news that says Liverpool are open to sell 30-year-old Mohamed Salah for 80 million pounds. In their last three (3) games, they lost two to Brentford and Brighton and got a goalless draw against Chelsea last time out. I think they should be able to build on the draw and get something out of this game.

β« NEWCASTLE VS WEST HAM π
This is a clash against consistent and inconsistent teams. West Ham have been up and down this season and on several occasions it has been difficult to make a case for them. Although they got a good win last time out against the struggling Everton side (thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s brace) if you think they are going to build on it from here, not against Newcastle. Newcastle have been experiencing a goal drought for the past few games. In their last 4 games, they have managed to score only one goal – 0-0 against Leeds Utd, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, and 1-0 against Fulham. I think they will be going all out in this one to ensure the problem doesn’t persist because you need to score goals if you are going to win games.

π NOTT. FOREST VS LEEDS UTD βͺ
This has to be a low-scoring affair because these two teams hardly score two goals. Leeds Utd are showing defensive prowess recently which can ascertain that there won’t be many goals in this clash. On the contrary, this might be another game where Nott. Forest might snatch the three points with just one goal. Whoever scores first will determine how the game will end. There’s nothing much left to talk about.

βͺ TOTTENHAM VS MAN CITY π
After losing to Arsenal, Tottenham have moved on to get a 0-1 win on the road against Fulham. Was it a convincing win? In my opinion, No. I don’t know about yours. They have been up and down this season and their consistency is in question. Man City, on the other hand, after losing in a controversial game against Man Utd have gone to secure a back to back victories against Wolves last time out and against Tottenham; a comeback win. Tottenham went two goals up in the first half but conceded four goals in the second half. They do not know how to stay composed under pressure and I think they might get a similar result here. Man City are having internal issues which have shown JoΓ£o Cancelo the exit door to Bayern Munich on loan with an unlikely return. Other players who are unhappy with Pep Guardiola are about 4-5 after Cancelo. After they lost to Man Utd, I told some friends that some losses are important because they trigger you to hustle harder which the Cityzens have been doing. I think they will get something at White Hart Lane to ensure Arsenal do not run away with the league title.

Very well said, these predictions are very interesting to read. The games have been tough for some of the teams and they’ll need to sit up if they could have a glance at your predictions. Keep it up!
