🦅 CRYSTAL PALACE VS WEST HAM ⚒️ (12:30 WAT)
It seems the new bounce under the new manager, Roy Hodgson has ended because Crystal Palace have dropped points in their last two games – a 0-0 draw against Everton at home and then a 2-0 loss away from home against Wolves last time out. They will be facing West Ham here at home and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways. I think they will be going all out here and West Ham will anticipate picking them off when they break away with players like Jarrod Bowen and co. West Ham got a big win against Bournemouth and then lost to Liverpool in the midweek. They will also be keen to bounce back and secure a win here which is difficult to pick a side.
PREDICTION: Over 1.5
TIP: CRY 1-1 WHU
RESULT: CRY 4-3 WHU
🐝 BRENTFORD VS NOTT. FOREST 🎄 (15:00 WAT)
The way Nott. Forest played against Liverpool last weekend was surprising. They played with confidence and almost got a draw. They proceeded with the same confidence to secure an unexpected victory against Brighton in the midweek. I don’t think anyone saw it coming. I believe they will go into this game with more confidence but I can’t see them getting maximum points here. Brentford have been unbeaten in their last two games – a draw against Aston Villa last weekend and a win against Chelsea in the midweek. Their level of confidence would have risen and I think they can get maximum points here because they have a more quality team than Forest.
TIP: BRE 2-1 NFO
RESULT: BRE 2-1 NFO
🐦 BRIGHTON VS WOLVES 🐺 (15:00 WAT)
Brighton and Hove Albion have hit a rough path recently. They lost the FA Cup semi-final on penalties and went on to lose 3-1 to Nott. Forest away from home and they’ve been on the road in their last 5 games. They will be playing at home and hoping to make amends at home in front of their fans. Wolves, on the other hand, are full of surprises. They win when I don’t think they would win and lose the games I expect them to get something from, but one thing I notice is they often impress and get something at Molineux (home). Wolves are on the road here, Brighton seem to be looking tired due to the congested fixtures within the week so it is difficult to back a side. I think a draw will be a fair result for both sides.
PREDICTION: Over 1.5
TIP: BHA 1-1 WOL
RESULT: BHA 6-0 WOL
🍒 BOURNEMOUTH VS LEEDS UTD ⚪ (14:00 WAT)
This is a clash between two teams that can’t stop conceding goals. You never can tell what you can get from Bournemouth. Two weekends ago, they beat Tottenham 2-3 away from home, lost 0-4 to West Ham at home and then won 0-1 against Southampton at St. Mary’s. They are so unpredictable but their fixtures always produce goals on many occasions. Leeds Utd are just difficult to make a case for at the moment. They do score a couple of goals – yes, they hardly play a game without scoring a goal in recent times. So I am expecting at least two goals in this game.
PREDICTION: Over 1.5
TIP: BOU 1-1 LEE
RESULT: BOU 4-1 LEE
⚪ FULHAM VS MAN CITY 💎 (14:00 WAT)
I think everyone in the league is avoiding Man City at the moment because they are in a league of their own, ruthless, and on a different level at the moment. We saw what they did to Arsenal in the midweek ruthlessly closing the gap to two points with two outstanding games. Fulham are still without Mitrovic and I don’t think we will pose a real threat against Man City’s defense. I can’t see a way the Cottagers can stop Man City unless they surprise us. The Cityzens have gotten the advantage and set their eyes on the league title and a chance to win a treble this season. I think this could give them a greater reason to be ruthless here again but I’m sure Fulham won’t concede many goals. Yes, they do not concede many goals.
TIP: FUL 0-2 MCI
RESULT: FUL 1-2 MCI
👹 MAN UTD VS ASTON VILLA 🦁 (14:00 WAT)
This is going to be an interesting game to watch. Aston Villa going to Old Trafford will be a tricky game for the Lions because the home fans could be a performance factor here and I think this is how Villa are going to show us what they are really made up of on the road. Both teams have been involved in action twice in a week but Man Utd have played longer minutes due to the extra time they played against Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final. Villa are the most in-form team in the Premier League right now or maybe second to Man City at the moment. They have an unbeaten run to extend but Old Trafford seems to be a fortress for the Red Devils. I won’t be picking any side here but I will rather bank on goals and enjoy every moment we have to celebrate goals.
PREDICTION: Over 1.5
TIP: MUN 1-1 ASV
RESULT: MUN 1-0 ASV
⚫ NEWCASTLE VS SOUTHAMPTON ⛔ (14:00 WAT)
Southampton nearly beat Arsenal last weekend but they lacked the discipline to see out the game, bottled a 3-1 lead with few minutes to go, and settled for a 3-3 draw. Thereafter, they lost 0-1 to Bournemouth at home which makes it difficult to make a case for them. I can’t see them getting many chances here against Newcastle who are in serious business to seal their top 4 spots. I feel the Magpies are keen on finishing above Man Utd which could happen if they drop points again against Aston Villa as they play simultaneously after they dropped points against Tottenham in the midweek- at least it would give them breathing space. I can see Newcastle win here but I would love to have one of my legs outside the horizon.
TIP: NEW 2-1 SOU
RESULT: NEW 3-1 SOU
🔴 LIVERPOOL VS TOTTENHAM ⚪ (16:30 WAT)
Liverpool are now unbeaten in 5 games and have won their 3 last games consecutively. I feel like they’ve found a bit of momentum and are trying to secure a spot for Europe competition next season. Tottenham, on the other hand, are contrary to improvement. They were thrashed by Newcastle last weekend and I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing in twenty-four minutes. It was awful and embarrassing and I wondered how the Spurs fans could have felt that day. I’m sure many of them would have left in the first half because it is disheartening to watch your fan club get beaten like that. They apologized to their fans and reacted to the heavy defeat by getting a point at home against Man Utd in the midweek. Yet again, traveling to Anfield could be difficult here and I don’t think they can get anything there. The managers are not the problem anymore as it stands now in my opinion, the problem is the players – too many dead woods and I think they need a total overhaul. How can you keep getting the same results after you have changed 3 managers? They need to get rid of the dead woods and Daniel Levy needs to change his ways – let those that are unhappy leave the club. Failure is what you get when you keep unhappy players at a club. I don’t have any other choice than to fancy Liverpool here but I won’t forget that they are also bound to disappoint. Yes, they have disappointed on several occasions this season.
TIP: LIV 3-2 TOT
RESULT: LIV 4-3 TOT
Happy New Month! Welcome to May. 🎉
🦊 LEICESTER VS EVERTON 🔵 (20:00 WAT)
Everton seem to be sleeping while Leicester are looking like they are just waking up. Leicester are now unbeaten in their last two games with a win against Wolves at home and a draw against Leeds Utd away from home. Everton, in their last three games, have not been impressive and I don’t think they can get maximum points at the King Power stadium. Just look at the way they got ripped apart by Newcastle in the midweek at Goodison Park. I just feel Leicester will get something out of this game.
TIP: LEI 2-1 EVE
RESULT: LEI 2-2 EVE
🔴 ARSENAL VS CHELSEA 🔵 (20:00 WAT)
Arsenal lost 4-1 to Man City in the midweek making it two consecutive games in which they’ve dropped points reducing their chances of winning the league to about 10%. They looked ordinary and tired against Man City giving a player like Kevin De Bruyne space to do whatever he likes and Haaland was allowed to bully the defenders. It appears to me that the Gunners are tired, especially a player like Saka who barely misses a game, lack of fitness like Xhaka who’s just returned from injury, and Gabriel Jesus who hasn’t been himself since returning from injury too. I would also agree that Arsenal are seriously missing William Saliba due to injury who is probably out of the season because there hasn’t been improvement yet since he was injured. Chelsea, on the other hand, are in crisis. They are just getting worse as they keep changing managers and don’t have an identity under Frank Lampard as the manager. I don’t even think Lampard recognizes his starting XI yet which does not give me a bit of the confidence to say they can get something at the Emirates stadium. I think the Gunners will rejuvenate themselves with this fixture and secure the maximum points.
TIP: ARS 2-1 CHE
